How cystic acne affects our emotions

I have noticed that most people talk about their cystic acne in a clinical sense, but don't really talk about the emotional toll their acne has on them.

Those of us who know what real cystic acne is are so frustrated because we know that washing the skin is not going to solve the problem.  Those of us who have had acne for a while get even more frustrated when we realize that people are going to look at you as though you don't take care of yourself or you lack personal hygiene when in reality your about 20 times more free of germs than the next guy.

Unfortunate we live in a society where we should feel less secure about ourselves because our skin is bad. The weird thing is that supposedly 80% of the society suffers from cystic acne in adolescence. I have seen people with very mild acne react much stronger than people with worse acne though - and that shows how it does depend on the person generally.  However, I have never encountered a soul who has cystic acne and is completely fine with it. It's frustrating to be encountered by those blessed with clear skin who tell you that all you need is to wash your face. Acne is much more than a fleeting teen affliction. It is in fact a disorder that really affect ones self-esteem, self-confidence, and happiness, to minimize this only serves to minimize the anguish that many suffer on a daily basis.

The solution for those bad feeling is not easy but you can still try to deal with it. You can have cystic acne and still enjoy your social life. Try to take it as if the acnes aren't there, and everyone else don't bother bout your acnes too when socializing.

Kids and adults are not the only ones who suffer from cystic acne. This skin disorder can also be found in your new born baby.

If you see acne or even red spots on the baby’s skin he or she might suffer from acne, however acne on those early ages are also very common so you don’t have to be worry.
Researches found out the baby acne occurs when the baby is few month years old and it usually ends when he or she is six month years old.

Babies get acne from several reasons: From the mother’s placenta which contains the hormones, and from laundry detergents that exists in the clothing and beddings. To protect the baby you should also avoid dust, dirty places and direct sun light. When the baby is crying, the blood rushes to the acne skin and can make it even worse. Cystic acne in babies looks very similar to kids’ acne, they appear mainly on the face but it can develop to other areas. Therefore it is very important to keep the skin clean and dry and avoid oily creams.

In most cystic acne cases there is no need to take further action in order to get rid of acne; general clean regime will be enough. However if your baby still having acne six months after the birth, you should consult a doctor, which might give you medical prescription. As stated before baby acne is just temporary phase and usually don’t develop in to severe skin disorder. You don’t have to worry too much; it’s natural to have it those ages.

Omg. Please help me. I just got an acne today and I think it's because I ate too much junk food or something or I used a cucumber melon lotion on my face. How To Stop Your Aging

Are you aging unnecessarily? Answer these questions and find out:

Do you see gray hair as loss of youth (as opposed to loss of pigmentation)?

Do you describe how you feel as "young" or "old," rather than "energetic" or "tired" for instance?

Do you see an "age spot" on your hand or face where you once saw a "freckle?"

If you answered "Yes," take warning! You are aging unnecessarily. The culprit here isn't passing years. It is thoughts that arise from deeply engrained concepts of "age" and "aging."

Our "age" concept is a set of beliefs and expectations that dictate thoughts and actions. In a sense, we run an age program the way computers run programs. As much as fifty percent of what we experience as aging can be due to the concept. Let me explain the problem, then the solution.

"Gradual Deterioration:" Running The "Age" Program

I once heard a sixty-year old man describe his life as "gradual deterioration."  That was two decades ago. For twenty years he's run a "gradual deterioration" program. That program is his concept of age.

Our concepts decide what we think and do, and even what we see and feel. To see how this works, consider the concept dominant in anorexia: "I need to lose weight." This concept defines reality for the anorexic. Where others see thin and emaciated, she sees a body that needs to lose weight. The concept (not reality) is in charge. In the same way, "age" has us under its spell.

The age concept sets us up for gradual deterioration. It determines our thoughts and actions and even what we see in the mirror ("aging" in grey hair; "age spots" in freckles). The concept exerts control unknowingly and automatically, deciding even sensations we feel. Aches and pains taken in stride at eighteen, meet with: "Just as I thought, old age!" Doctors tell us no one dies of old age. Our concept, however, dictates what's real, and we see otherwise.

Some dentists suggest duller yellow teeth for elderly patients. Under the spell of the concept we accept them. "Own up" to age and age owns us, but the problem goes far beyond negative thinking. The program tells us what to do. It says: "act your age," and we obey with grave consequences for health.

"Act Your Age!" Health Damage Caused By The Age Concept

Not long ago a finding that people in their nineties can build muscle made front page news. Why did the finding surprise us? It surprised us because it violates our concept of aging. "Gradual deterioration" sets up expectation of irreversible loss in muscle mass, bone density, lung capacity, balance, flexibility, etc. Obedient to the concept, we "act our age," sitting sedentary, deteriorating according to plan.

Inactivity precipitates decline in a vicious circle, but no matter how limiting and self-destructive, we conform and age to the letter. We succumb more to the concept than to age itself, even though all the while, the concept is mistaken. 

The Error In "Aging"

Age as gradual deterioration is a self-fulfilling prophesy. The concept itself however, is mistaken. Ancient wisdom offers a more realistic view. It maintains that disuse, not "age," is the cause of deterioration. In this view: "that which is used thrives. That which is not used wastes away."

This more enlightened view sets up different expectations. Attribute muscle loss to disuse (instead of age) and the news about building muscle at ninety isn't news at all. "Gradual deterioration" becomes a matter of "letting yourself go" – something you need not necessarily do. You might trade workouts for sitting helplessly, acting your age. 

Just knowing a concept is in error however, doesn't free us from its grip. We can't expect simply to snap out of aging. Getting free of age takes something more. It requires awareness – more awareness than we're used to. Here's how awareness sets you free.

How Awareness Frees You From "Aging"

Spiritual teacher Ram Dass helped an elderly Quaker woman who'd been terminally ill a long while. She told him she wasn't afraid to die but was bothered by the boredom of slowly dying. He suggested: "Couldn't you die, say, twenty minutes per hour?"

With these words she was free of the concept she'd been stuck in. In reality, she was living. All the "dying" she'd experienced was born of concept, an invention of the thinking mind. Dying was the program she'd been running. Getting free of the concept was like waking from delusion; coming out from under a spell.

In anorexia, aging, and dying we see problems caused by the thinking mind in the absence of awareness. Awareness - simple contact with reality sets us free. Contact with reality shuts programs down. Then thoughts and actions emerge, not from preset beliefs and expectations, but from awareness itself. How do you build awareness? The trusted tool is meditation.

Meditation And Liberation From Age

Meditation quiets thinking, silencing harmful concepts. Present moment awareness replaces toxic thinking ("I feel old," etc.), lifting a burden from shoulders bent by debilitating auto-suggestions.

The more you quiet thinking the more awareness is restored. With enough awareness you clear your slate completely. Tibetan Buddhist tradition expresses what happens then. Coming to awareness "is like taking a hood off your head. What boundless spaciousness and relief! This is seeing what was not seen before… everything opens, expands, and becomes crisp, clear, brimming with life. All limitations dissolve and fall away."

Go deep enough into awareness and you'll be free of age limitations. You'll discover your essence is timeless, ageless and eternal. Then for you, even death holds no threat.

Natural Homemade Fruit Skin Care

Our skin is the largest organ on our body. It protects us from toxins, chemicals and poisons on a daily basis. Therefore proper skin care is essential to maintaining healthy, soft, beautiful looking skin. Skin care products today contain chemicals and preservatives that can irritate the skin. However home skin care remedies are simple, inexpensive and use all natural ingredients, because you should never put something on your skin that you couldn't put in your mouth.

In the day of "going green" many people are shying away from conventional skin care treatments. More and more people are choosing organic or more natural ingredients to cure and teat their skin ailments. Making your own homemade skin care products is as easy as opening your refrigerator or fruit basket. Natural skin care includes the best choice of ingredients that are entirely from nature. Fruits are a readily available natural resource and inexpensive to purchase. Food allergies and skin irritation are less likely to occur with natural skin care because of their organic nature, plus most people already know what foods they are allergic too. Filled with antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, fruits provide both the skin and the body with essential nutrients that are required to restore, develop and grow. In addition, these nutrients are coming from a direct source grown from the earth not like synthetic vitamins and minerals that are found in commercial products. Because natural skin care is so easy to make and use you can modify skin care recipes to fit your own skin care needs.

Natural skin care recipes normally contain the fruit pulp, fruit juice or in some cases both. To smooth out the concoction milk, honey or water maybe added as well. Depending upon what you are trying to treat additional ingredients may be added such as oatmeal, wheat germ, brown sugar, and dried herbs. These are made into facial cleansers, scrubs, moisturizing creams, facial masks, lotions and soaps. Each mixture is indicative for a specific skin type or ailment such as normal, dry, oily and sensitive skin, acne and pimple treatments, black head removers or whitening solutions.

Fruits contain a naturally occurring chemical compounds alpha hydroxy acids (AHA). They are well known for their use in skin care products, cosmetics, dermatologist's offices, and health spas. Alpha hydroxy acids are well known for their anti aging effects such as reducing wrinkles, and enhancing the overall look and feel of skin. In skin care AHA's help to peel away the top layer of dead skin cells. When you remove this top layer of skin it leaves you with a fresher, softer, smoother skin from underneath. Maltic acid, lactic acid, tartaric acid and citric acid are all forms of AHA's, which can be used in natural skin, care remedies.

Matlic acid is found in apples, vinegar, applesauce and cider. Apple juice is an effective home remedy for reducing wrinkles, itching and inflammation. It can also be used as a skin conditioner, cleanser, and toner. Add a cup of apply juice the next time you take a bath to get the full body effect from apple juice. Lactic acid is found in buttermilk, yogurt, powdered skim milk, sour cream, blackberries and tomatoes.  Tartaric acid is contained in grapes, grape juice, wine and cream of tartar. Citric acid is found in citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits. Lemons are probably the most frequently used fruit for home skin care. Lemons cleanse, freshen, and lighten the skin.  Lemons will soften rough patches of skin, deodorize smells and tone your scalp to prevent dandruff. Limejuice can also be a helpful skin aid. It can prevent acne, control oily skin, remove freckles, relieve tired eyes and reduce rough or dry skin. Orange juice is effect at reducing pimples and acne, white heads, acne scars, blemishes, boils and age spots. Mango leaves are known for their antiseptic properties. Pineapples will soften the skin and rejuvenate dry skin. Peach skin is a great anti-wrinkle cream. Apricot juice is helpful with sunburns, itching and eczema. Avocados and bananas are great for facial masks and can be used together.
