when you go to a medical doctor what does it mean if you have a smiley face on your chart?
I just wonder if they put different smiley faces and just why the heck is there a smiley face on a medical chart? Mine was sickly green
You'll have to ask someone in your doctor's office.
Each practice has their own marking system, but most use stickers to indicate medication allergies and chronic diseases. A family practice might also use stickers to indicate if the patient is a child, adult, or elderly person.
Ageing is a non-reversible continuous course. With time, the skin steadily loses its elasticity resultant in crows feet, wrinkles and age acne. As one crosses the age of 30, skin becomes thinner and is powerless to save enough humidity to keep that alluring glow. Skin ages greatly more nearer where there has been sun exposure, principal to wrinkles. These especially comprise the face, spit, the backs of the hands, and the tops of the forearms.
Many of the anti-wrinkle treatments available today are either made of synthetic chemicals, use harsh substances to relax your skin, or are invasive mechanical procedures. More and more, people seeking anti-wrinkle treatments are turning to botox treatments and face lifts. These anti-wrinkle treatments are unnatural, and may even produce side effects. Botox is a toxin while face lifts are an invasive form of surgery. Natural anti-wrinkle treatment, however, is also gaining popularity.
Wrinkles can be either fine lines or deep creases. Fine lines respond readily to treatment while the remedy for the latter type is along harsher lines like plastic surgery. Wrinkle treatment spans the entire gamut from cosmetic cures to medical treatment, and surgical procedures. Wrinkles are the result of depletion of collagen and elastin. This can be due to ageing or prolonged exposure to the sun. Wrinkles are common in dry skin or particular skin types like fair skin with blue eyes.
The problem though is finding the best wrinkle cream that will create the best results. With today's skin market the way it is, more wrinkle care products are being added to the market and being developed as you are reading this. This is because the demand for these products are growing and growing each and every year.
Free radicals damage collagen, DNA strands and produce chemicals that cause chronic inflammation and redness. Basically, free radicals are responsible for all of the signs of aging, including wrinkles. While aging skin cells produce more free radicals, they contain less protein than they did in our youth. Keratin, as mentioned above, is one of those proteins.
Plain keratin is (another) natural protein found in your body. It is used in some skin care products but I have reservations about it because it's collected by putting acid at high temperatures on the discarded, unwanted by-products of dead animals.
On the other hand Functional Keratin, is gently extracted from the wool of carefully selected sheep. This special keratin is able to penetrate through the layers of aging skin and rejuvenate the collagen and elastin you have left in your body. The result is skin that begins to look younger again.
Proper balance of omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids is key to good wrinkle treatment. Unfortunately, due to our highly processed diets we are extremely omega 3 fatty acid deficient. Therefore, it's important that you supplement. I like using Carlson's fish oil or Krill oil. Carlson's tests it's product to make sure there are no contaminates like mercury so I feel safer taking it than other run of the mill fish oil pills. Krill oil isn't a concern.
