Rihanna and Matt Kemp: Knowing Rihanna beau Matt Kemp!
While we are aware that ‘feisty’ Pop princess Rihanna has already moved on from the bitter ‘black eye’ episode with former beau Chris Brown, to new base ball ‘flame’ Matt Kemp, just how much do we know about the guy? Zilch? The ‘mushy’ couple has been blissfully going around holding hands and locking lips among the sun [...] SHARETHIS.addEntry({ title: "Rihanna and Matt Kemp: Knowing Rihanna ...

Many games, not a few of them James Bond titles, have tried to recapture the magic that went into this dreamboat of a Nintendo 64 title. I don't think any of them have quite managed it yet.
Goldeneye 007 is a first-person shooter. Playing through the events of the movie of the same name the player must navigate super spy James Bond through underground facilities, nuclear silos and ancient temples in an effort to stop the plans of traitorous ex-006 agent Alec Trevelyan, culminating in a circuitous chase around a satellite dish that I think formulates one of my favorite boss battles of all time.
The graphics in GoldenEye are incredible. From installations deep under the snow to lush Cuban jungles, each environment looks really good, with a decent amount of detail. There is a slight bit of fogging at the edge of your view, but hey, St. Petersburg is a foggy place. The sniper rifle alleviates some of the fog, enabling you to zoom up and peep the action long before the guards are alerted to your presence. Also, the characters in the game look really good. When you run into Boris, he actually looks like Alan Cumming. The only character who doesn't transfer favorably into the 3-D world is Natalya, who looks a little too square.
Predictably enough, all combat is carried out with a series of guns either found scattered throughout levels or found on the bodies of dispatched guards. Yet constant gun play isn't enough to get Bond through the game: quite often stealth is a better idea, with the quick dispatch of enemies from behind with a silenced pistol. To do otherwise will usually set off an alarm that will bring endless droves of enemy soldiers your direction, which is enough to hamper the day of any saboteur. Alongside the killing are a number of mission objectives that must be completed in proper order before a mission comes to a successful close, and as the difficulty level mounts so too do the number of objectives that must be completed.
I wasted more time with Goldeneye than I'll ever care to admit. With a few friends on hand it's a hopelessly addictive game. Just don't always expect to be on good terms by the end, especially if one amongst you likes to wait by the body armor and pick off the weak and helpless looking for a boost.
Goldeneye is a party game. Get four friends together and loose them all on Goldeneye and you'll see the hours fly by without pause. Allowing for team battles or solo forays in almost every level from the main game, Goldeneye's multiplayer is immensely fun by virtue of the amount of options afforded to players. Just changing the weapons available in each level makes for an entirely new experience each time. You've never known true terror if you've not played a round of just Proximity Mines, or Man With The Golden Gun. Toss in familiar faces from other Bond movies - Odd Job, Baron Samedie and Jaws, just to name a few - and you've got a winning combo.
