Has this tanning lotion done this to you?

I've been going to the tanning bed for quite some time now, and today I left my tanning lotion at home. I bought a sample packet of something the salon had there. It had "tingle" in it. Which I assume makes your skin tingle for a while. Well, as I was applying the lotion I noticed my skin got extremely red and rashy. So I went out to show the salon lady and she said it was normal for this to happen. It would go away in about an hour or so. My skin feels like it's crawling away, and burning off. Please tell me this is normal with this type of lotion. It's austrailian gold, with tingle. I freezing cold and burning up at the same time!!!

Sounds like you are having a reaction and may need to get this checked out. My first question though is WHY ARE YOU TANNING??? Skin cancer is very deadly and doesn't care if you are a teenager, older person, male or female. You are putting your body at great risk of skin cancer just to look tan. Consider changing to a salon that does spray tans. My father and my step father in law both have skin cancer so don't risk it by continuing this. Once you have skin cancer you cannot go out into the sun without long sleeve shirts, long pants, a hat and sun screen on any exposed parts of you body....................thats if you manage to get it diagnosed promptly. Is a tan worth all of this?? I sure hope not.
